Big Red quarterback Javon Davis signed to attend and play football at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Steubenville offensive lineman Alijah Demitras will attend and play football at Walsh University in North Canton. Big Red lineman Zach Ekey will continue his academic career and play football at Wheeling Jesuit University. Toronto’s Jake Keenan signed his letter of intent to continue his football and academic career at Wheeling Jesuit.
Boys high school basketball, Weir High rallied from 10 points down to beat Edison 66-60. Keyshawn Faulks scored 20 points for the Red Riders, while Reed Reitter had 15 and Cam Pierce delivered 12. Issac Schmitz scored 22 points for the Wildcats.
St. Clairsville topped Steubenville Catholic Central 57-42. A.J. Connor scored 15 points and Donnie Vandeborne 13 for the Crusaders.

Wheeling Park downed Indian Creek 56-34 in the other 5-A semifinal. Ashley Yaich and Mackenzie Orban scored six points apiece for the Redskins.
Alaire Destifanes hit a shot at the buzzer as Buckeye Local topped Big Red 50-48 in the OVAC 4-A semifinals. Emily Holzopfel led Buckeye Local with 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Panthers face top-seeded Cambridge Saturday in the championship game.
River beat Steubenville Catholic Central 64-55 in the 2-A semifinals. Julia Zatta and Christine Dombrowski both scored 17 points for the Crusaders.
