After a five-game homestand, and right after its overtime victory against No. 11 Virginia, Pitt hits the (frozen and snow-covered) road up to Syracuse to take on Jim Boeheim and the Orange.

Matchup: Pitt (12-3, 1-1 ACC) at Syracuse (9-6, 1-1), noon, today, Carrier Dome, Syracuse, N.Y.

Pitt: Coming off 88-76 victory in overtime last Wednesday against Virginia. The win was Pitt’s first against the Cavaliers since joining the ACC in 2013.

 

Pinstripe Bowl odds: Pitt favored over Northwestern at Yankee Stadium

Pitt’s Matt Canada will be LSU’s new offensive coordinator

Matt Canada has accepted the same position at LSU, the school announced this morning, forcing Pitt to seek a new offensive coordinator for the fourth consecutive season.

Canada, a Broyles Award trophy finalist for the top assistant coach in college football, was lauded for leading the highest-scoring offense in Pitt history at 42.3 points per game.
