Michael Mills allowed only three hits and struck out four, at the plate he homered and drove in three for the Red Riders. Levi Mikula and Chris Gillette each had three RBI, Adam Cowden drove in two while Cody Enrietti had one RBI for Weir High. Game 2 is today in Berkeley Springs.
Craig Anderson stopped 45 shots, Mike Hoffman scored the tiebreaking goal in the third and the Senators beat the Penguins 2-1 to force a decisive Game 7 in the NHL’s Eastern Conference Finals. The Braves said an equipment malfunction was the source of confusion in the top of the third last night when an emergency alarm sounded in the ballpark and a message stated the building was being evacuated. Umpires did not stop play, and the game continued.
