High School Baseball: Weir High One Win Away From State Tournament

Weir High beat Berkeley Springs 13-0 in five innings in Game 1 of the best-of-three Regional finals.  Michael Mills allowed only three hits and struck out four, at the plate he homered and drove in three for the Red Riders.  Levi Mikula and Chris Gillette each had three RBI, Adam Cowden drove in two while Cody Enrietti had one RBI for Weir High.  Game 2 is today in Berkeley Springs.

Craig Anderson stopped 45 shots, Mike Hoffman scored the tiebreaking goal in the third and the Senators beat the Penguins 2-1 to force a decisive Game 7 in the NHL’s Eastern Conference Finals.  The Pens host the final game tomorrow night at 8, join 106.3 The River and the Trinity Health System Stream at 7:30 for the pregame.
