The baseball Hall of Fame says it no longer will use the Cleveland Indians’ Chief Wahoo logo for plaques of new members. Former Cleveland slugger Jim Thome says he wants a block ‘C’ logo on his plaque when it’s unveiled in July.

The Division III Boys Basketball All-Ohio Team has been announced and Buckeye Local senior Drake Novak earned Third Team honors. Novak averaged 25.1 points a game. Connor of Steubenville Catholic Central earned Honorable Mention.

The 5th-seeded West Virginia Mountaineers Men’s Basketball team left Morgantown yesterday for Friday’s Sweet 16 appearance in Boston against top-seeded Villanova. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed free-agent safety Morgan Burnett to a three-year, $14.5 million deal. During eight seasons with Green Bay, Burnett has played linebacker, slot corner and both safety positions. Scouts predict Burnett will probably be a strong safety in Pittsburgh, which would allow Sean Davis to slide to free safety.
