The Cleveland Browns have agreed to a trade with New England that will send LB Barkevious Mingo to the Patriots in exchange for a 2017 fifth-round pick. Mingo appeared in 46 games with 16 starts. He logged 99 career tackles, seven sacks and one INT.

High school football, Steubenville Big Red opened its 2016 season with a 49-33 victory over DC Woodrow Wilson. Big Red scored the first 29 points of the game, then gave up 27 points in four minutes.
